The Peaceful Wild is a space to connect with the wild and to cultivate peace.
It is a place for yoga, meditation and philosophical dwelling on our ecology.
Prof. Fern Wickson established the Peaceful Wild at on the banks of beautiful Kaldfjord in Northern Norway in 2016. It was created as a unique space to share her love for wild nature and belief in yoga and meditation as powerful ways to cultivate peaceful personal and social transformations.
Originally from Australia, and now also a Norwegian citizen, Fern works as a transdisciplinary ecologist and Professor of Ocean Leadership at UiT the Arctic University. Yoga & meditation have, however, been part of her life for more than 25 years. She has undertaken 500 hours of teacher training in Hatha, Tantra and Raja Yoga in Costa Rica and Bali and has been teaching for over a decade.
Her classes and workshops are taught as moving meditations and playful explorations of the unity between body, breath and mind.
